Over 2.5 goals strategy
In last week’s blog I announced, with a great hurrah, a refinement to the Over 2.5 goals strategy for which I expect to identify more selections for an increased return. And, in true ‘setting myself up for a fall’ style, only 1 of the 4 tips came in (and that relied on a last minute wonder strike from Robin Van Persie against Liverpool). However, after a reminder that form is temporary and all that, I’m back this weekend with a couple of selections with which I expect to get back on track. It is worth pointing out that in refining the strategy I have adopted a new staking plan which will grow the cumulative betting bank by 5% with each winning selection. For the Over 2.5 goals strategy selections I have set aside a starting bank of £100. Having back-tested the refined strategy with this new staking plan indications are that the strike rate is more than sufficient for the strategy to perform when staking for 10% target profit although I prefer to be more cautious when first following a strategy with cash stakes, hence the 5% target (for now anyway).
This weekend’s Over 2.5 goals selections are:
Wolves / Blackburn
Norwich / Wigan
I’ll be monitoring the profit and loss of all strategy bets on the blog in future, but here’s how I stand after last weekend:
Under 2.5 goals strategy
Last weekend also saw the launch of the iFT Under 2.5 goals strategy. To date, all selections have been advertised on Twitter, but I intend to use the blog to highlight these selections each week as well as monitor its success. The staking plan mirrors the Over 2.5 strategy and I expect it also to perform when staking for 10% profit.
This weekend’s Under 2.5 goals selections are:
Genoa / Juventus
Novara / Udinese
Over 1.5 goals strategy
4 out of 5 winners last weekend added to the overall profit taking the strike rate to 21/24 overall for the singles and 7/9 associated 3/4/5-folds. This weekend the qualifying matches are:
Bolton / QPR Wolves / Blackburn Norwich / Wigan
*Best returns experienced when staking for a target profit
Draw Strategy
Aston Villa / Fulham
Back 0-0 and then the draw if and when there is a goal. Alternatively the draw can be backed pre-match.
Away Day Double
Mansfield & Blackpool to win pays 15/4
respective combined home & away form: W11 D1 L4
Home Double
Port Vale & Sheff Wed to win pays 5/2
respective combined home & away form: W10 D4 L2
Above home and away 4-fold pays 14/1
As always, shop around for the best odds and only bet what you can afford to lose. Although quick big wins are great, the above strategies are aimed at steadily increasing the betting bank and making long term profit.

All the best
