  1. I have been reading your blog with great interest. Noticed that you got the correct score right around 55%. And you got a lot matches thas has a goal in the first half.

    How do you calculate your excpected probabilities for goals? I'm not that good at statistics...

  2. Hi, and thanks for the interest.

    Expected goals per team are simply the average of home goals scored and away goals conceded for the home team and vice versa for the away team. The expected number of goals per team are then applied to a statistical technique (Poisson) which calculates the probability a team will score 0,1,2,3 goals. The correct scores highlighted are just the 5 most probable based on this approach.
